Learn moreChicken Noodle Soup with Egg Noodles
15 min
This isn't your grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup.... Typically chicken soup has a lot of fresh herbs, but our Poultry Rub has all of our favorites—sage, marjoram, and thyme—cutting down your prep time while keeping all that herby goodness. The signature slightly yellow colored broth that we all know from childhood comes from the earthy and nutty Turmeric, which just adds to the depth of flavor. You can use any noodles you want, but I find that egg noodles hold up well even after being reheated and sitting in the broth. (Ahem, leftovers!) This Chicken Noodle Soup is perfect for warming you up on chilly days and is sure to be a comforting favorite. The best part? The leftovers may be even better than the original.
Learn moreLemon Tuscan Rosemary Orzo

We love a good one-pot meal, and the Lemon Tuscan Rosemary Orzo does not disappoint. The key to this dish lies in the Tuscan Rosemary Salt. Simplicity is at the heart of every aspect of this recipe. The Tuscan Rosemary Salt introduces the aromatic essence of piney rosemary alongside complementary notes of sage, fennel, ginger, and cinnamon. These flavors infuse the broth, thoroughly enhancing each individual piece of orzo with its tasty flavor. The best part? It's easy to make! The dish is made with several pantry staples you probably already have at home. Lemon Tuscan Rosemary Orzo makes a stunning side dish, but you might be tempted to eat the whole thing as your meal! We think that's a pretty good idea, too.
Learn moreFlour Tortillas
It's no secret that flour tortillas are champions of versatility! You can top them with anything, fill them with anything, and they work great for snacks or for meals. What's less well known, however, is that they're also incredibly easy to make! Really! And nothing beats a fresh, warm tortilla. When making tortillas at home, use the opportunity to be creative! By using different spices or flours, you can inject a little flair into your recipe, and make your tortillas truly unique! In this recipe, we use Saffron and Butterfly Pea Flower to give our tortillas unique and distinctive colors. You can substitute a portion of the all-purpose flour for other flours, too, for more flavor and texture variety.Recipes such as this one traditionally use lard, but we've found that vegetable oil makes a perfectly suitable substitution. It's easy to double or triple this recipe, and they'll keep in your refrigerator in an airtight container for a couple of weeks. Homemade tortillas are best when fresh, though, and we don't think you'll have any problem finding ways to use them!
Learn moreFresh Asparagus Soup
Simple and rustic, this is my go-to asparagus soup. Every spring, I bring home 2 or 3 pounds of fresh spears to make a big batch. The preparation is quick and you'll have a hearty and healthy pot of soup on the table in under an hour. Close tending is needed to make sure the asparagus doesn't get overcooked, but the reward is a bright and true flavor that can be complimented by many different seasonings. Our Cascade Mushroom Mix is my secret ingredient for the base, and a combination of Herbes de Provence and Bay Leaf & Black Pepper Meyer Lemon Paste puts it over the top. If you don't have these seasonings on hand, there are lots of other options! Read below the recipe for suggestions.
Learn moreCompound Butter with Seasoning Salt
I love the flavor trinity of corn + butter + salt, so this recipe for compound butter immediately popped to mind. It is an easy way to take a good thing and make it even better with the addition of spice. Grilled corn is amazing, butter makes it better and the seasoning salt is like the icing on the cake. And by creating a compound butter with the seasoning salt you ensure that the flavors stay in place for every bite.We debuted these compound butters with grilled corn at our seasonal grilling kick off party at Sutter Home & Hearth, and everyone loved them! Speaking for myself and a few others we enjoyed all three. The Provencal Salt butter was bright and herby, the Svaneti Salt butter featured caraway and coriander and the Voodoo was simply magical. Also delicious using Tuscan Rosemary Salt and America's Seasoned Salt, too! The flavor fun doesn't stop with corn, though, use these compound butters on steak, seafood, baked potatoes, scrambled eggs and more. They keep in the refrigerator for a nice long time so make a big batch!
Learn moreSvaneti Seasoned Salt Kale Chips
I adore kale. The moment I discovered this particular leafy green it immediately beat out broccoli and chard at the top of my favorite vegetable list. Luckily for me it is available practically year-round here in the Northwest, and right now there are some exceptionally beautiful bunches showing up in the Farmer's Markets and grocery stores. My favorite way to prepare kale is to bake it into chips with a little bit of salt to bring out its natural savory flavor. Whether you are new to kale chips or they are an old favorite, you'll love mixing it up with some seasoning salt. Along with our Svaneti Seasoned Salt, my favorites are Voodoo, Osaka Seasoned Salt, Tuscan Rosemary Salt and America's Seasoned Salt.
