Tea 101
Emerald Mist is a World Spice original blend, a robust concoction that marries the coolness of mints with the warmth of spices. This herbal tisane features peppermint and spearmint, giving it a refreshing coolness, while licorice root, ginger, and cloves add a comforting warmth. It's a caffeine-free blend that's perfect for soothing and refreshing moments alike, especially when brewed fresh and steaming hot. It can also be transformed into a delightful simple syrup for an array of drinks and desserts.
The use of mint in herbal concoctions dates back thousands of years, with records of its medicinal and culinary use appearing in ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman texts. Mint's invigorating scent and cooling sensation have made it a staple in traditional medicine and cuisine across various cultures. The addition of spices like ginger and cloves to mint blends is a practice that likely originated from Asian and Middle Eastern culinary traditions, where these spices have been celebrated for their warming properties and ability to harmonize with a variety of flavors. Emerald Mist, with its unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, reflects a modern appreciation for both the soothing aspects of mint and the invigorating warmth of spices like ginger and licorice.
We love Emerald Mist for its dynamic contrast between cool and warm flavors. The mints provide a refreshing burst, perfect for awakening the senses, while the ginger and licorice root add a comforting warmth and sweetness that make each sip a rich experience.
Mint has been a symbol of hospitality in many societies, often used to clean and scent the air in homes and places of worship.
