Voodoo Jalapeño Poppers
We've had a bumper crop of jalapeño peppers from the garden this year, and that means POPPERS! Autumn is chile season, though jalapeños are readily available at the grocery store year round. The flavor buzz from these was well worth the effort of seeding all those little suckers, but do wear gloves! The warm bite of jalapeño with smoky paprika in the cheese and the Voodoo sprinkle on top of these poppers goes down well chased by a rich porter. Enjoy a whole platter by yourself while you watch the game like we did, or serve them up at your next fall fête.
Learn moreCornflake Chicken Tenders
10 min
Chicken fingers are a big win for parents and kiddos alike, so why not bake them at home? This recipe is super easy and an air fryer can be used, if you wish! Our spice blends save you the work of gathering ingredients while creating a depth of flavor you simply won't get at the fast food joint. America's Seasoned Salt is classic and all purpose, and the Poultry Rub adds herbs and earthiness to the mix. Even though these are baked, they give off fried vibes because the cornflake coating adds a delightful crunch and flavor to each bite. You can easily make this recipe gluten-free by swapping your regular corn flakes for ones without the gluten.
Learn moreProvencal Sheet Pan Chicken
15 min
Our favorite Mediterranean flavors collide in this stupidly simple sheet pan dinner, which you can prepare in 30 minutes or so. Admittedly, you'll spend a bit of time chopping, but who can complain when the result is all this veggie goodness? The leeks give the meal a mildly sweet, onion-like flavor and the spices—Provencal Seasoned Salt, El Greco, and Aleppo Pepper—make an herby and salty combination with a slight fruity heat that adds beautiful depth to the flavor. Add a little Parmesan and this dinner is *Chef's Kiss*
Learn moreEverything Bagels
Bagels require lots of processes. Kneading, boiling and baking, all for the holy grail of the perfect crust and chew. This recipe makes a dozen and I guarantee you they'll be gone before they cool.
Learn moreHerbes de Provence Potato Leek Soup
15 min
Herbes de Provence is a classic French blend of garden herbs including marjoram, savory, chervil, thyme, dill weed, and tarragon. These delicate herbs give the broth a layered flavor and season the vegetables with a light touch. Every bite is a different texture with pops of salt from the capers. This soup can be easily made vegan using veggie stock, or if you want to indulge, add a splash of cream to your bowl for a chowder like soup that is perfect for dipping crusty bread.
Learn moreGrilled Svaneti Bread
Making flatbread can be intimidating, but don't let that hold you back! This recipe shows that it can be easy, quick, and absolutely delectable. This grilled bread is rustic and fun to tear apart. We used whole wheat flour to give it a fantastic chew and nutty flavor. Don't fret over getting things uniform because the fun shapes are encouraged when rolling it thin. Instant yeast does its magic quickly and makes this bread recipe forgiving. Now, get your grill HOT! The bread grills up in less than a minute with beautiful charred bubbles and gorgeous grill lines. After grilling, give it a liberal drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkling of our Svaneti Seasoned Salt. This salt has the pow of caraway, fenugreek, garlic, and coriander. Pair this bread with a yogurt dipping sauce or with grilled vegetables and it'll bring your meal together.Serve with a dip or spread of your choice. Tzatziki Sauce with Dill Pollen, Aleppo Pepper Muhammara or Everything Hummus are excellent choices to enjoy your Grilled Svaneti Bread with!
Learn moreAsparagus Mimosa
The complement of texture and flavors that come together in this simple dish are a celebration of spring. Tender asparagus is kissed with Provencal Seasoned Salt and a little char from the grill. Watercress is nested in and the salad is topped with finely grated hard boiled eggs. The fine, fluffy eggs are said to resemble mimosa flowers for which the salad is named. To keep it simple and bright, our vinaigrette combines Lemon Herb Pepper, white wine vinegar, and Dijon mustard. This dish is light, simple, and familiar. Easy to make ahead and serve cold. You can also add bacon, capers, radishes or other garnishes.
Learn moreZa'atar Khachapuri
This popular Georgian pastry will soon become one of your favorite comfort foods! Khachapuri is a boat-shaped bread filled with cheese, egg, and other ingredients. After baking, the crust can then be ripped off and dipped into the filling. It's a perfect dish for brunch time cravings or a happy hour snack. This recipe combines a three cheese blend with Green Za'atar, a mix of toasted sesame seeds, thyme, sumac, dill and oregano. The grassy, nutty notes of the Za'atar neatly compliment the cheese and egg.Why stop there, though? One of the best qualities of Khackapuri is the endless flavor variations you can try. Try making this recipe with Syrian Za'atar or or Svaneti Seasoned Salt instead. This was our first Khachapuri attempt, but it certainly won't be our last.
Learn moreFresh Asparagus Soup
Simple and rustic, this is my go-to asparagus soup. Every spring, I bring home 2 or 3 pounds of fresh spears to make a big batch. The preparation is quick and you'll have a hearty and healthy pot of soup on the table in under an hour. Close tending is needed to make sure the asparagus doesn't get overcooked, but the reward is a bright and true flavor that can be complimented by many different seasonings. Our Cascade Mushroom Mix is my secret ingredient for the base, and a combination of Herbes de Provence and Bay Leaf & Black Pepper Meyer Lemon Paste puts it over the top. If you don't have these seasonings on hand, there are lots of other options! Read below the recipe for suggestions.
