Savoring a cup of our unique Mayan Cocoa blend is an experience like no other. It's all about the ingredients: sesame seeds, true cinnamon, brown sugar, allspice, anise seed, ancho chile, and premium cocoa powder. Each one adds its unique flavor note to create a cup that's truly one-of-a-kind. We take pride in crafting this mix, leaning into our love for chocolate and tradition.

While not necessary, cassia cinnamon sticks make the drinking experience an even more tactile savory experience.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of Mayan Cocoa

1 cup of whole milk (or your creamiest preferred alternative)

Agave or sweetener of choice (to taste)

Directions

  1. Pour in 1 cup of whole milk (or your preferred alternative for a creamier texture).
  2. Place the pot or saucepan over low heat and stir the mixture continuously to combine the Mayan cocoa mix and milk.
  3. Heat the mixture, stirring constantly, until it reaches just below boiling. This process helps infuse the flavors and spices into the milk.
  4. Keep the mixture at this temperature for approximately 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and intensify. Continue to stir as it simmers.
  5. After 3 minutes, remove the pot from the heat.
  6. Strain to remove the spices and pour the Mayan cocoa into your favorite mug or cup.
    Sweeten your Mayan Cocoa to your desired taste. You can use honey, sugar, or any sweetener of your choice. Stir well to ensure the sweetener is fully incorporated into the Mayan Cocoa, and enjoy!
