Caesar Spiced Farfalle

Caesar Spiced Farfalle
Indulge in a delectable one-pot meal with Caesar Spiced Farfalle. In just 20 minutes, you'll have a vegetarian delight inspired by Cacio e pepe.

The creamy sauce with tangy Worcestershire coats the Farfalle perfectly and the Nigella Seeds give it a lovely texture. Don't forget to add fresh spinach and grated Parmesan for added flavor and texture.

Customize it with your favorite veggies like peas, asparagus, arugula or add chicken if you'd like a meatier dish. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Ingredients

  • 1 quart water
  • ½ box Barilla Farfalle (8oz)
  • 3 ounces aged gouda, small diced
  • 2 tablespoons Nigella Caesar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

Fill a large pot with 1 quart of water and bring to a boil over high heat.

Cook the pasta for 10 minutes, stirring the pasta occasionally. Towards the end of cooking the pasta may appear as if there is not enough water. This is normal!

There should be about a ¼ inch of remaining pasta water at the bottom of the pan. Do not drain it.

Turn the heat down to medium low and stir in the gouda into the water and pasta mixture until dissolved. A creamy sauce should form in about 2 minutes.

Stir in the Nigella Caesar spice and butter.

Right before serving fold in the spinach. The dish is ready when the spinach has wilted.

Top the pasta with more grated cheese and serve immediately.
