Right in the heart of downtown Seattle, we were savoring Fulcrum Coffee's Spiced Latte. We kick it off with a bold shot of espresso, mix in a pumpkin puree-infused syrup, add some sugar, and sprinkle in our Poudre Douce spice. The result? Well, it's not your average spiced latte. It's not cloyingly sweet, but it's incredibly smooth. This blend goes beyond your usual cinnamon kick. The fusion of ginger and allspice takes it to the next level, delivering an indulgent taste that's hard to resist.

Ingredients

Poudre Douce Coffee Syrup (makes 2 cups)

  • ½ cup hot water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon Poudre Douce

Poudre Douce Latte (12 oz)

  • 2 tablespoons Poudre Douce Coffee Syrup
  • 1 double shot of espresso
  • Dash of Poudre Douce
  • 1 cup Milk of your choice

Directions

Poudre Douce Simple Syrup

  1. In a bowl, combine the hot water and sugar, whisking until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the canned pumpkin and Poudre Douce to the sugar-water mixture.
  3. Stir until the syrup is smooth and well-blended.

Poudre Douce Latte

  1. Brew a double shot of espresso.
  2. In a 12 oz cup, add the Poudre Douce simple syrup.
  3. Pour the freshly brewed espresso over the Poudre Douce.
  4. Add a dash of Poudre Douce for an extra kick of flavor.
  5. Steam your preferred milk and pour it over the espresso mixture.
