Iced Moroccan Mint Tea

Iced Moroccan Mint Tea

Imagine a serene afternoon in Morocco, where each sip of this Moroccan Mint Tea offers a refreshing escape. This blend of peppermint and gunpowder green tea is gently sweetened with raw sugar and served over ice. It's a harmonious balance of cool mint and subtle sweetness, inviting you to relax and savor the essence of Moroccan hospitality in every refreshing sip.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon loose leaf Moroccan mint tea
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar in the raw (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes

Directions

  1. Boil 1 cup of water to 212°F (100°C).
  2. Place the loose leaf Moroccan mint tea in a tea infuser or teapot.
  3. Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves.
  4. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  5. Remove the tea infuser or strain the tea leaves.
  6. Stir in 1-2 teaspoons of sugar in the raw while the tea is still hot, allowing the sugar to dissolve completely.
  7. Let the sweetened tea cool to room temperature. For quicker cooling, you can place it in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  9. Pour the cooled tea over the ice.
  10. Stir gently and enjoy your refreshing iced Moroccan mint tea!
