Earl Grey Tea Ice Cubes with Lavender

Earl Grey Tea Ice Cubes with Lavender

Okay, so listen up. I’m talking loose leaf Earl Grey tea, brewed strong, cooled down, and frozen into flavorful ice cubes. Think of them as little flavor bombs. Drop one in your lemonade, for an instant upgrade. Or, if you're making a cocktail, these ice cubes will totally change the game. And while you’re at it, get creative with your ice cube trays. Stars, hearts, whatever. It’s all about presentation!

Here, I used my silicone Madeleine cookie mold to create these fun shell-shaped ice cubes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Earl Grey tea
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender (for garnish, optional)

Directions

  1. Place the loose leaf Earl Grey tea into a teapot or heatproof pitcher. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the tea leaves. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
  2. After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to pour the tea into a bowl or another pitcher, removing the tea leaves.
  3. Carefully pour the brewed tea into the ice cube trays. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of dried lavender on top of each cube.
  4. Place the ice cube trays in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely solid.
  5. Once frozen, remove the Earl Grey tea ice cubes from the trays. Use them in your favorite beverages or as a refreshing twist to iced tea.
