Chrysanthemum flowers are naturally caffeine-free and brew a delicate, light tea with a floral aroma. Traditionally steeped for multiple infusions, chrysanthemum goes well with the addition of sugar.

Brewing Instructions: Steep 3 teaspoons (a small handful of flowers) per 8oz cup at 210°F for 3 minutes

Tea 101

Renowned for their gentle floral aroma and soothing properties, these blooms offer a light, slightly sweet taste with a hint of earthiness. Perfect for a calming tea experience, chrysanthemum flowers can be steeped alone or blended with other herbs for a refreshing brew.

Chrysanthemum has been cultivated in East Asia for over 2,500 years, primarily in China, where it was first grown as a flowering herb. The flower made its way to Japan by the 8th century and became deeply embedded in the culture, symbolizing autumn and the noble class. In both regions, chrysanthemum has been celebrated in festivals and used in teas for its distinct, refreshing flavor. The practice of using chrysanthemum in beverages and culinary applications eventually spread to other parts of Asia and later to the Western world, where it was appreciated for both its aesthetic appeal and its culinary versatility.

We love chrysanthemum tea for its subtle floral flavor and light sweetness. It's a refreshing and easy-to-drink tea that brings a calm, relaxing vibe to any time of day. The golden color and gentle aroma make it a pleasant choice for a simple, enjoyable tea experience.

Chrysanthemum flowers can be infused into syrups, jellies, and even ice cubes for a subtle floral flavor.
