An Experience for the Senses in Seattle
Nestled behind Pike Place Market, World Spice has been keeping it spicy since 1995, serving up over 240 spices, blends, and teas from around the world.
Visitors can taste many of our proprietary spice blends and teas, plus take in the sights and smells of our full library.
World Spice Seattle Mustard-Making Workshop
Join us for a flavorful night out at our shop!
Store manager Nicole will lead you through the surprisingly fun (and delicious) world of mustard-making. We’ll kick things off around the communal table with a little mustard history and a taste of how this humble seed became a global favorite.
Then it’s your turn: roll up your sleeves and craft your very own custom mustard from scratch. With a wide variety of spices to choose from, no two jars will be alike—you’ll leave with a condiment that’s truly yours.
This two-hour workshop is hands-on, beginner-friendly, and all about good food and good company. Snacks and beverages will be provided, along with recipe cards to take home so you can recreate your mustard magic anytime.
Take the experience home with you.
You won’t just leave with new skills—you’ll head home with everything you used in class so you can keep making mustard on your own. Each participant will receive:
- A jar of fresh mustard you create during class
- A recipe card to guide your next batch
- Mortar & pestle
- Apron
- Funnel
- Spices - Yellow Mustard Seeds, Brown Mustard Seeds, Turmeric Powder, Garlic Granules, Salt & Sugar.
Come ready to grind, whisk, and taste your way through an evening of spice and flavor!
