All the seasonings you need for full-flavored fajitas and tacos — meat, seafood, veggies, even beans — are in this blend. Add salt to taste. Spice Advice: Use 2 tablespoons plus ¾ cup water per pound of ground meat for easy, delicious tacos.
We suggest using 2 tablespoons of ground Fajita & Taco Spice plus 3/4 cup of water for every pound of ground meat.
Spice 101
Our Fajita & Taco Spice is a carefully crafted blend that includes Paprika, Guajillo, New Mexico Chile, Cumin, Garlic, and Onion. It's a salt-free mix, making it a versatile choice for cooking as it allows for personalization of salt levels according to one's dietary needs. The blend's robust flavor profile is marked by the smoky warmth of Guajillo chiles complemented by the earthy tones of cumin and the aromatic punch of garlic and onion.
The Fajita & Taco Spice blend captures the essence of Tex-Mex cuisine, a regional culinary tradition that blends Mexican and American influences. This cuisine emerged prominently in Texas, where the fusion of Mexican culinary techniques with American ingredients created a vibrant and flavorful cooking style. The term "fajita" originally referred to the cut of beef used in the dish, but it has since evolved to describe the seasoned, grilled meats typically served in a tortilla.
Fajita & Taco Spice's smoky and earthy undertones make it perfect not just for traditional fajitas and tacos, but also for spicing up everything from grilled vegetables to a hearty bean stew. It's our go-to for adding a burst of flavor that's deep, complex, and authentically American Southwest.
Did you know that the original fajita was made from skirt steak, a cut of meat that was considered less desirable and was often given to Mexican ranch workers in Texas as part of their pay? They marinated and grilled this tough cut, creating what we now love as fajitas.

Obsessed with how you’re using Fajita & Taco Spice. Nachos, fajitas – it’s the ultimate flavor boost. Keep those tasty creations coming!
Not just for tacos and fajitas! I use this to flavor beans for nachos, fish for grilling and countless other things. It’s become indispensable at our house.
Store owner replied:
What a great idea! All of the spices in it would definitely add great flavor to so many more things than fajitas & tacos, too. We love when one of our blends becomes indispensable!
I love the flavor and I really love that there is NO salt added!!!! Thank you World Spice!
Store owner replied:
You are very welcome! Most of our blends are salt-free so that you can add as much or as little salt as you want. It's nice to have a flavorful taco seasoning that's not so salty.
Our family has been using the Fajita/Taco seasoning for years. It adds an authentic flavor comprable to cuisine we have enjoyed in Mexico. Highly recommended! Also makes a great gift!
Store owner replied:
I just love that you have been using the Fajita & Taco Spice for so long! It really is such a good, flavorful spice for tacos, and it's salt-free! And...tacos. Who doesn't love tacos?!
Store owner replied:
We love how much better the flavor is with our Fajita & Taco spice, and even more so because it's salt-free.
We make a lot of tacos and this never disappoints - I had to restock after serving a taco bar at a family gathering and giving a generous helping to my sister. She said my nieces never eat tacos but absolutely loved the ones I made. Kid-tested, mom-approved!
Store owner replied:
Now that’s a taco triumph! 🌮✨
Fajita & Taco Spice brought the flavor fiesta—when picky eaters ask for seconds, you know it’s a winner. Kid-tested, mom-approved, and sister-shared!
I've made both fajitas and tacos with this. So good and I love that there's no extra crap in it. For tacos, I add a bit more cumin and some salt. For fajitas, I added some lime juice, salt, a little extra garlic and some of the chorizo bomb. This is my new favorite for taco Tuesday!
Store owner replied:
Danielle, *this* is how you make Taco Tuesday legendary! Love how you’re tweaking the blend to make it your own—extra cumin for tacos, a little lime and Chorizo Bomb for fajitas? That’s next-level flavor mastery. And no extra junk, just pure spice goodness? That’s what it’s all about. 🔥🌮✨
Store owner replied:
That sounds delicious, Bradley! Fajita & Taco Spice brings so much bold, smoky flavor—perfect for grilled veggies. Glad you loved it! 🔥🌿✨
Also one of my favorites. Like the fact it has no salt and I can add salt to my taste.
Store owner replied:
Thanks, Jane! I’m with you—Fajita & Taco Spice is awesome, and the salt-free thing is such a win. Makes it so easy to tweak to your taste. 🌮✨
100% top quality & flavor as usual. This is the best place to get your spices.
The delicious taco/fajita seasoning is our “go to” for a tasty, fast dinner. Cut up boneless, skinless chicken in bit sized pieces. Toss in lemon juice, a generous amount of seasoning, and a touch of salt. Cook in a hot skillet with a tiny bit of olive oil. In 15 minutes, you have delicious chicken for tacos, a salad, or an entree with a side of rice. Love it!
This is the perfect mix for making tacos or even quesadillas, enchiladas, and burritos. The flavor is better than those store bought packets and I can adjust the salt level. It doesn't have all those additives like those other packets do either. I toast amd grind the spices. Once I add them to ground burger, chicken, or pork, I sometimes add some water to give a bit of sauce to the dish.
Store owner replied:
Thank you! Toasting and grinding the Fajita & Taco Spice takes it to the next level—so much fresher and more flavorful than store-bought packets. Love how you customize it to make every dish just right! 🌮✨
One of my favorite blends. Great for fajitas, but also excellent on roasted sweet potatoes and in refried beans.
Store owner replied:
It means a lot to us that you love the flavor!
Thank you :)
Versatile spice blend that brings a pop to Mexican and Tex-Mex fare. Great for vegetable or chicken fajitas, but also adds something special to beans & refried beans.
Store owner replied:
We love hearing about its versatility in fajitas and refried beans. Happy cooking!
I was so tired of buying the packets to have them either be too salty or too spicy. So when I saw my trusty spice shop had one I had to try it. Not surprisingly it's perfect, just enough heat for us and not too much that the kids won't eat it. It is a perfect blend for any meat and or veggie. Highly recommend.
My favorite taco spice As a kid that grew up on paper envelopes of single serving taco spice this gives that hit of nostalgia but at 10x the quality. My absolute favorite spice we can let it go out of stock in our house.
Excellent! This is the perfect blend for anything Mexican. Not too hot, but with some heat. This blend save so much time vs. adding all the ingredients individually.
Much better than expected I usually make my own taco/fajita mixes as I do not like the store bought stuff.. As I like to try all the world spice mixes that peak my interest I ordered some. So glad I did it is so much better than I expected. will still my own blend but use when I am pushed for time. Excellent for adding eggs, soups, salsas or just about anything in addition to making great taco meat..
Since 1995 we've sourced and blended the finest flavors we can find. Nearly all of our spices are available whole or ground, and we grind in small batches shortly before shipping.
