Return Policy

We've been merchants at heart since 1995, and we genuinely care about every order that leaves our shop. If something isn't right, we want to make it right — simply and without hassle. Don't hesitate to reach out to us at spiceadvice@worldspice.com and we'll take care of you.

Spices & Tea: Spices and tea may be returned for a full refund within 90 days of purchase with a valid receipt or order number, provided the product is unused and unopened. Opened products (spices & tea) are eligible for store credit.

Books: Books may be returned within 14 days of purchase with a valid receipt or order number, provided the product is in new condition.

Pepper & Salt Mills: Pepper and Salt Mills may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a valid receipt or order number, provided the product is in new condition.

All Other Merchandise: All other merchandise may be returned within 90 days of purchase with a valid receipt or order number, provided the product is in new condition.

No Receipt: If you do not have a receipt or order number, store credit will be issued at the current price for items in new condition.

Gift Returns: Items received as a gift without a receipt will be issued store credit at the current price.

Sale & Clearance Items: All sale and clearance items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Refunds: Refunds will be applied to the original payment method within 3–5 business days once processed.

Exchanges: If you received the correct product but need something different, exchanges are available for unused and unopened items. Please email spiceadvice@worldspice.com to request an exchange. A flat-rate shipping fee will apply to the replacement order, and we will provide a return shipping label for the original item.

Wrong Item Received: If you received the wrong item, please email spiceadvice@worldspice.com and we will work quickly to make it right.

Damaged or Broken Items: If your order arrived damaged or broken, we will be happy to send a replacement. Please email spiceadvice@worldspice.com with a description of what happened and a photo of the damage.

How to Initiate a Return: In store: Returns are free at our retail store in Seattle. By mail: We can provide a return shipping label for $8.00, which will be deducted from your refund amount. To initiate a return, please email spiceadvice@worldspice.com.

International Returns (Canada): All standard return policies apply to Canadian orders. Return shipping will be charged at the standard Canadian flat-rate shipping cost.
