Two holiday favorites were combined into one treat with this recipe and it's easy to make and keep on hand for the whole season. If you're like me, you want any excuse to snack on holiday flavors so we spiced this pumpkin butter with our Gingerbread Spice. It contains all the holiday heavy hitters and is packed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and, of course, spicy clove and ginger! Once made, you'll find yourself adding this spread to everything from toast, waffles and oatmeal. We created a big batch with this recipe so there will be plenty to go around.

Kashmiri Curry Breakfast Cookies

Cookies for breakfast? Why not, especially these hearty, healthy and nutritious bars. Packed with coconut oil, chia seeds, quinoa and...white beans. Yes, these contain pureed white beans for that extra boost of protein to get your morning started off right. These cookies are easily customizable - you can vary the dried fruit and nuts, as well as using pureed pumpkin or sweet potatoes instead of applesauce. To give it a little extra added flavor, there is Kashmiri Curry, which has cinnamon notes, but is still a bit savory, too. This recipe can be scooped to make cookies or patted into a pan, then cut into pieces. These also work well for an afternoon snack, and are great to take out on hiking trips. This is one cookie that you won't feel guilty about eating.

It's no secret that flour tortillas are champions of versatility! You can top them with anything, fill them with anything, and they work great for snacks or for meals. What's less well known, however, is that they're also incredibly easy to make! Really! And nothing beats a fresh, warm tortilla.When making tortillas at home, use the opportunity to be creative! By using different spices or flours, you can inject a little flair into your recipe, and make your tortillas truly unique! In this recipe, we use Saffron and Butterfly Pea Flower to give our tortillas unique and distinctive colors. You can substitute a portion of the all-purpose flour for other flours, too, for more flavor and texture variety.Recipes such as this one traditionally use lard, but we've found that vegetable oil makes a perfectly suitable substitution. It's easy to double or triple this recipe, and they'll keep in your refrigerator in an airtight container for a couple of weeks. Homemade tortillas are best when fresh, though, and we don't think you'll have any problem finding ways to use them!

These tasty pastries are inspired by Eccles cakes, which take their name from the town in northwestern England. The traditional cakes are made from pastry stuffed with currants, candied citrus peel, and spices. We've left the currants out of this version, though they could be easily re-introduced for anyone who can't imagine the pastry without their signature ingredient.For a new take on the Eccles cake, we added caraway seeds to the crust and filled them with orange marmalade and white cheddar. The caraway is earthy, and compliments the bitter sweetness of the orange. Our version of the crust is leavened with butter and cream cheese, and the results are flaky, golden brown and delicious.

Sometimes I get so busy doing things that I forget to eat breakfast and/or lunch. I know, I shouldn't do that, but I do. I've tried various power or energy bars, but I found them to be too sweet, lacking in flavor, or really just not very healthy. So I made my own.For this recipe, I set out to make an energy bar that tasted good, was high in all of the "good" stuff we're supposed to be eating every day, and was full of things that I loved, like Indian Coriander Seed. I'm also a huge fan of chia seeds, and using them eliminated the need to use oil or eggs in the bars. Chia seeds are full of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, calcium, iron, fiber, and are a source of natural extended energy. I will admit to sometimes putting chocolate chips in them, but chocolate is good for you, too, right?
