So appreciate the spice samples received from World Spice...they add ones to my cabinet that I can experiment with, "in a pinch", which is great and often are ones I wouldn't have considered before. Tha k ypu for that!!

Store owner replied: We all love to play with food, and just naturally assume everyone else does, too. lol But, really - it's so much fun to try something new to "play" it. It definitely sparks creativity.
Have only opened this Yukaton Rojo BBQ Rub sample to do a sniff test. It has an interesting aroma...can see where it may talk to meat, etc. Can't quite yet vibe the taste, but will try in something... maybe a potato dish? Hmmmm. Great color in the packet... lipstick red!!

Store owner replied: It's a delicious one to use for fish tacos or roasting meat. It's also a delicious way to make Mexican street corn and a pumpkin seed dip (recipes on the website). It's definitely more versatile than you might think.
So good to get a free sample of Chaat Masala the other day!! Smells great, and used it on a seasonal fruit salad the other day, with asian pear, ambrosia apple, end of season bell pepper slices, with some lime juice, orange zest & the Chaat Masala sprinkled on it. Yum!!

Store owner replied: It's a popular one especially during the summer for fruit, be we use it year round with fruit because it just enhances the flavor of whatever fruit you use.
Nice floral tea, chamomile strong, but pretty and very relaxing. Nice to receive a sample to try it out, too.

Store owner replied: Floral Sonnets is definitely a favorite! It's just a really good calming, relaxing tea that's really balanced, and the chamomile doesn't overwhelm the blend. I can usually get at least 3-4 steeps when I drink it at night, too.
Happy with Maple Sugar sample!! Wouldn't have tried it otherwise...but so far have had it sweeten tea, chai...and yes, sprinkled it on toast with goat's cheese. Tasty. Subtle, kind of need a bit to get its full.flavor. Would be great on top muffins or other baked goods, or mixed with butter as sweet spread.

Store owner replied: It's such a great alternative to "regular" sugar, too, in so many things. It's great in tea or oatmeal, and I've also used it for the sugar in blueberry scones and cornbread, too.
The sample of Turkish Curry arrived as I was making some lentil dal (not pictured), so I added it immediately & it is really good. I actually haven't looked at its ingredients yet, but its a flavorful curry ~ not certain what distinguishes it as Turkish, but it seems versatile -- might get added to some squash dish, now that winter squash are coming in from the farm.

Always great to try something new. I've been cooking for 65 years and it can get boring. Trying something new makes it all exciting again.

Store owner replied: We love turning people on to something new that they may not have chosen for themselves. This maple sugar is really versatile, too. Great in coffee, tea, or oatmeal, but also good to use in baking or in savory dishes, as well.
Samples are great to receive -I've been adding a pinch of the ranch seasoning sample to farm fresh chevre cheese on toast in the mornings... and probably will mix up a dip...so not something I normally would have sought out, but getting a sample included is a good intro, idea starter and add-on to pantry. Thanks, World Spice!!
